Saturday 24 May

1     Llanbister Road to Dolau via St Michael's Pool and Radnor Forest. (11 miles energetic)

2 Llanbister Road to Knucklas via Gravel, Ferley and Fountain Head. (7 miles moderate)

1     NEW Hope to Wrexham via Hope Mountain, Bwlchgwyn and Nant Mill (15 miles undulating)

       Leaders Stewart Davies and Chris Jenkins. Book to Hope. Depart Shrewsbury 0930, train from                  

       Wrexham General to Hope, return from Wrexham General 1836. Arrive Shrewsbury 1915.

2     Gobowen circular via Pleasant groves, Brogyntyn Park and Old Owestry (8 miles moderate)

       Leaders Paddy Willis and Richard Addyman. Depart Shrewsbury 0930, return from Gobowen

       1602.

3     Chirk and its castle (5 miles easy). Through the parkland (among the most beautiful in Wales)

       to the castle, where you don't have to pay to use the refreshment room. Then via Llwyn-y-cil,

Pont-faen Bridge and the canal towpath back to Chirk. Leaders Alan Howard and Maggie Uphill.

       Depart Shrewsbury 0930, return from Chirk 1557.

1     NEW Llangollen Horseshoe via Horseshoe Falls, Maesyrychen Mountain, Horseshoe Pass, Cwm

       through tickets, train to Ruabon, 'bus to Llangollen. Depart Shrewsbury 0828, return from Ruabon

2 Dyfi Junction to Machynlleth via Glandyfi, Caerhedyn, Llyfnant Valley and Glaspwll. (8 miles

1    Machynlleth to Barmouth via Cadair Idris, Cregennen Lakes and Arthog waterfalls (14 miles
