Public Transport in Shropshire
Shrewsbury is the hub of the train network in Shropshire. With rail lines radiating out to the South, North, North West and East.
In particular, regular trains to the south stop at Church Stretton, Craven Arms & Ludlow providing opportunities for circular and linear walks
The Heart of Wales line runs from Craven Arms through the Shropshire Hills and into Wales. These trains provide the opportunity for walking in very remote and beautiful countryside without a car.
Buses
For information on bus timetables see http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/traveltransport.nsf
To minimise the impact of additional vehicles in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are a number of shuttle buses.
The services run from April to the end of October on weekends and bank holidays. Leaflets giving bus times and suggested walks are available from local tourist information centres, the National Trust shop at Carding Mill Valley. Phone TESS on 01588 673888 during office hours
A ‘Rover’ ticket enables you to get on or off any of the buses at any time during the day,
